Gold Medal Olympic Athlete Hidilyn Receives A New House From POC
Hidilyn Diaz, the only Pinoy athlete who won a gold medal in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, was rewarded with a 2-stories house by the Philippine Olympic Committee.

This is just one of many rewards that many brands, companies promised to give her for earning the first Olympic Gold medal for the Philippines. She also got a fully furnished 2-bedroom condo in Eastwood City.
Many other Olympic medalists are also getting the same treatment for their achievement in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Each Pinoy medalist boxer will be getting a single-detached, two-bedroom home worth P5 million in Barangay San Jose, Tagaytay City, plus their own brand new cars.

The Tagaytay Mayor Agnes Tolentino congressman and the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) president Rep. Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino, and Sen. Francis Tolentino have been there personally to hand them the rewards and spread the word about the event.

Based on the Republic Act 10699 (National Athletes and Coaches Benefits and Incentives Act), an Olympic Gold medalist in an individual event will receive Php 10 million.
Hidilyn Diaz broke the weightlifting record holder in the women’s 55 kg category for weightlifting at the 2020 Summer Olympics. The new record she set in the clean and jerk is at 127 kg and in the total is at 224 kg.
She got a bronze medal at the 2007 SEA Games in Thailand and achieved 10th place at the 2006 Asian Games in the 53-kilogram class, which was when she was just a student.
